Description
Our cottage has an open floor plan. It features large windows and 9-foot ceilings that offer a magnificent view of the mountains. We completely refurnished and redecorated it in 2020.
It is located on Mont-Édouard mountain. Trail No. 9 is accessible on foot by taking an uphill walk. It is possible to return to the cottage on skis. The Pierre Lavoie snowshoe trail passes by the cottage door. This trail leads to the summit of Mont-Édouard, where you will find the Mont Édouard observation tower and its lookouts. At the bottom of the mountain, there is an ice rink, fatbike trails, and cross-country ski trails. Snowmobile trails are also accessible nearby.
Our cottage is located near the village of L'Anse-St-Jean, ranked among the most beautiful villages in Quebec. Several hiking trails are accessible via the village, including the Poets' Trail, which connects L'Anse to Petit-Saguenay, the Waterfall Trail, the White Mountain Trail, and the Belvédère du Mille Trail. The village has some great shops, including Café du Quai, Café Nuance de Grain, Boutique Rebelle des Bois, Chocolaterie Kao, Bistro de l'Anse, and Vélo Fjord, which rents electric bikes for exploring the village.
In summer, its proximity to the fjord allows for many other activities (kayaking, cliff climbing overlooking the fjord, cruises, sailing, horseback riding). The Petit-Saguenay vacation village and its beach are nearby.
