Whatever the season, À la Vallée Enchanteresse offers a breathtaking view of splendid scenery in a magnificent valley. This hospitable ancestral home is set on a 9.5-acre wooded property, including 7 acres of mature pine forest that is a delightful place for a stroll! Two sunny, flowered patios overlook the valley. In summer, guests can go for a refreshing dip in the pool and, perhaps later in the day, relax in the private all-season spa. The pool is open from June 1st to September 15th, of every year. An outdoor fire pit (wood provided) and volleyball net are also available for families and groups of friends to have a great time.
Our vacation home is located on a unique estate in a broad, forested valley where peace, calm and privacy are yours. For some well-deserved rest away from the daily grind, enjoy the fresh country air as you relax in a hammock under shady trees. When day is done, you’ll be amazed by the dazzling night sky and brightness of the moon. Deer, cows or wild turkeys may be part of the scenery, depending on the season. Cyclists are welcome and will appreciate the close access to La Route Verte, a network of bike paths covering much of Québec. In winter, the bike path is converted into an ATV and snowmobile trail. Golf enthusiasts can play magnificent courses in Melbourne, Warwick, Asbestos and Victoriaville. Conditions are excellent for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing right on the property or at the Centre de Ski de Fond Richmond-Melbourne.
For guests interested in outings, less than 20 minutes away is Étang Burbank, a site renowned for birdwatching that also has pleasant hiking trails. For a special end-of-day treat, you can dine at Temps des Cerises, a former church that is now a gastronomic restaurant in the heart of the nearby village of Danville. You will find grocery stores, gas stations, drug stores and many other services, 7 minutes from the cottage.
This 10-room, century-old home has been lovingly restored to its original charm, warmth and peacefulness, and enhanced with exceptional lighting. The dining room and kitchen are grouped in an open-concept layout for convivial gatherings of families or friends. A central wood stove keeps everyone warm on winter evenings. The home has 5 closed bedrooms, one on the main floor. Since La Vallée Enchanteresse was once an inn, the 4 closed bedrooms upstairs all have a bed and a sink. One of the bedrooms also has an antique clawfoot tub, and there is a full bathroom with shower upstairs. In all, the property can accommodate 13 guests comfortably.
