This charming property in the Eastern Townships village of Stoke is an absolute delight. La Bohème is a large home with impressive fenestration and a stunning view of the calm waters of Lac Stoke. From the deck, admire breathtaking sunsets any time of year. Nature is on full display at La Bohème! With access to 2 kayaks, guests can head out to fish (pickerel, bass and perch) or just explore the lake. And with motorboats not allowed on the lake, guests are sure to enjoy a quiet stay. Nature lovers will revel in observing the diverse forms of wildlife found in the region, including American bitterns and bald eagles, not to mention snapping turtles inhabiting the shoreline.
The wide paved road leading to the cottage can be used to bike, snowshoe or cross-country ski right from the property. A snowmobile trail also passes close by (near Dubé Road). In addition, a magnificent and popular 28-km hiking trail (connecting Chapman, East Angus and Stoke) is a great way to discover the region. Not far off are Mont Ham and Mont Orford offering a panoply of outdoor activities such as cross-country and downhill skiing, fat biking, snowshoeing, hiking, golf and much more!
Done up in a country style, this cottage is warm and inviting with its cathedral ceilings, wood stove, wicker chairs and common areas featuring wood floors and mouldings. The main open area (including living room, kitchen and dining room) has an enormous bay window and skylights that fill the space with natural lighting. Behind the sliding doors, you will find the sofa-bed and the bathroom, as well as stairs to get to the upstairs bedroom. The bathroom has a shower bath and washer-dryer.
